My Paper Pumpkin #6

Hi!

It's been a while since I've posted about a My Paper Pumpkin project!  In case you haven't heard of it, My Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription box by Stampin' Up that includes everything you need to make a craft!  Many times it's a set of cards, but there have also been goody bags, gift boxes, and other fun things.  The kit I made last week was so cute!



This box included everything you need to make eight thank you cards with envelopes:

A cute set of clear stamps
Two ink pads (Pool Party and Daffodil Delight)



Pre-scored cards
Pre-scored envelopes
Eight sets of "Thanks" felt stickers
Adhesive strips
Bakers twine



The first thing I did was stamp each of the cards, which are long strips of white cardstock that you end up folding like an accordion.



You use the clear stamps in the kit (used with the clear block that comes with your very first My Paper Pumpkin box) to make a cute pattern on each section of each card!  I did the same patterns on each card, four starting with blue ink and four starting with yellow.



It was easier to stamp them when they were laying flat, so after I stamped them and I knew they were dry (which is pretty much right away), I folded them like an accordion.  

Then I stamped the "I just wanted to say..." on the first section of each card, using yellow ink on the blue triangles and blue on the yellow triangles!



Next I spelled out "Thanks" with the felt stickers on the next six sections of each cards.



The stickers were so fun!  I'll have to think of something cute to make with the outlines of the letters!



Next I stamped some designs on the envelopes.



Clear stamps are so fun because you can see exactly where you're stamping and line things up perfectly!

Then I used the adhesive strips to put the envelopes together.



Once they're put together, the envelopes are wide enough so the cards, which are thick because of the felt letters, fit in the envelopes perfectly.



The last step is to cut a 27" piece of string to wrap around the envelope twice and tie in a bow!



I loved this project and can't wait to use these adorable thank you cards!

My Paper Pumpkin #5

Hello!

I recently put together the project from the December My Paper Pumpkin!  It's a super cute kit with everything you need to make nine cards - three birthday, three thank you, and three that just say hello!

Here's what came in the kit:

Set of six clear stamps
Slate Gray ink pad
Nine gray cards, scored
Nine green envelopes
Punch out confetti stars
Sequins
Nine Polaroid picture frames
Nine clear plastic squares to keep confetti in frame
Cursive sticker greetings
Foam adhesive strips
Toothpick (to punch out the stars!)

I had a lot of fun making these!  It took me about two hours I think.

First I stamped four of the square stamps in a square on the front of each card (I did three cards of each saying).




 
I also stamped the matching greeting on the inside of each card.





Next, I secured the plastic square to the back of the Polaroid frame using the foam adhesive strips (the plastic should be against the paper frame, and the foam should tape the plastic onto it).



I realized after I used up the short pieces that there were two sizes of strips, longer ones to use down the sides of the frame, and shorter ones for the top and bottom!  It didn't matter though, I just had to cut some of the longer strips since I used all of the short strips first.  Make sure there aren't any gaps in the adhesive so that the confetti can't get out!

Next I punched out half a sheet of confetti using the toothpick.



It's easiest if you hold the sheet of stars close to the table and poke through to the table, instead of just poking them into the air which I did almost the whole time.  They don't punch out very easily that way!

Then I added about 20 sequins.



I did this part card by card so I didn't make to big of a mess!

After putting the loose pieces in a little pile toward the middle of the card, I peeled the top of each adhesive strip off and stuck that to the card with all of the confetti inside!  It gets a little static-y so I had to push down the stars/sequins sometimes when they would stand straight up while I was putting the frame on it.

The last step is to put the sticker words on top of the Polaroid.  I used the toothpick on these, too, to help get the words off of the paper without ripping them.

My Paper Pumpkin #4

Hello!

The other day I made the project that came in my January My Paper Pumpkin!  I still haven't done the project from my December box, but I did this one first because it's Valentine's Day-themed :)

If you've never heard of My Paper Pumpkin, which is made by Stampin' Up, read this post for more information.

The project from the January box is so cute!!  It has everything you need to make 24 little treat bags!





Here are the supplies that come in the box:

Punch-out pennants, hearts, and long rectangles
Cellophane bags
Glue dots
Pink with gold baker's twine
Real Red ink pad
Clear stamps (to use with the clear block that comes with your very first Paper Pumpkin)
Gold clips

First I stamped the punch out hearts with all of the cute sayings.



Then I attached two pennants to each heart using two glue dots (one to hold the two pennants together and one to attach that to the back of the heart).



Aren't they cute?  I mixed and matched the colors and sayings so they were all different.



After filling up a bag with cherry and cinnamon Jelly Belly jelly beans, I folded the punch-out rectangles (they are scored) over the folded top of the bag.



I held everything together, including a heart, with a gold clip.



The last step was to tie a bow on each clip using a 12" piece of string.



Aren't they so cute??  I love them!  They are really simple to make and really fun because there are so many cute combo options!



I've already given some to my improv group and I still have lots to give to other people!

My Paper Pumpkin #3 Part 2

Hi!

The second project that was in my November My Paper Pumpkin was a set of eight cute holiday cards!  If you haven't read my previous post, it tells you all about Stampin' Up's My Paper Pumpkin and also about the other project that came in this box!

The supplies included to make this project are eight blue cards, eight white envelopes, sixteen white snowflake halves, small blue punch out snowflakes, small white squares, and then the stamps, ink, baker's twine, jewels, adhesive dots, and washi tape that was also used for the tags.

The first step is to fold the blue cards so that the snowflakes are on top and the card opens like a book.

Then I stamped the snowflake right in the middle of the front of the card.

On the inside of the card, stamp the snowy image all across the top.  I think this stamp is so cute!

After stamping the long saying on the white squares, I used the washi tape to attach the squares inside the card and then added a few jewels!

There is a Merry Christmas stamp and a Happy Holidays stamp, so I did four cards and the backs of four envelopes with each saying.

Then I used the adhesive dots to attach the white snowflake halves behind the blue snowflake part of the card.  This step probably took the longest just because the dots are teeny!  I also used the dots to attach the blue snowflakes to the envelope flaps.

The last step is to tie the cards closed with the baker's twine!

Aren't they so pretty??  I love the light blue and silver color theme of this holiday box!

My December box is on its way here now and I'm so excited to see what the next project(s) will be!

My Paper Pumpkin #3 Part 1

Hi!

If you haven't, you can read my past posts (#1 and #2) about My Paper Pumpkin!  It's a monthly subscription box by Stampin' Up and each box comes with everything you need to make a cute craft project (or two)!  Yesterday I made one of the two projects that came in my November box, twelve holiday tags!

The box included twelve blue tags with "Happy Holidays" to punch out, twelve white tags to go behind the blue, washi tape, stamps and ink, silver punch-out snowflakes, adhesive jewels, silver ring stickers, adhesive dots, and baker's twine.

The only things I needed to use that weren't included were scissors and the clear block (which you receive in your first My Paper Pumpkin) that is used with all of the clear stamps you get in each kit.

These were so fun to make!  First I punched out the letters.

Then I stamped the bottoms of the blue tags with a snow-looking stamp and the white tags with the To/From stamp.

Next I put the washi tape on the bottom of each white tag so it shows through the front tag.

Then I stuck on the silver rings over the holes on the blue tags and attached the snowflakes with the jewels in the middle.

Then I tied a piece of baker's twine on each tag!

Aren't they so cute??  I love them!  I love the look of the letters that are cut out, so an A, P, O, D, etc are just completely filled in (or empty, actually).

I can't wait to use these on our Christmas presents!

Once I make the rest of the kit (really cute cards!) I will post about it here!
