Toni and Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray Review

Hi!

Last week I won a full-sized bottle of Toni & Guy's Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray!  I promise that's how you spell it :)

I won it through a Birchbox contest on Twitter! :)  I have tried it several times since then and I love it!!

I got it at the perfect time, too, because I've just about finished my bottle of mark. Curl to Curl Reactivate and Defining Mist that I mentioned a few posts ago.

I've used it after showering on towel/turban-dried hair.  I put about a nickle-sized amount of Miss Jessie's Leave-In Condish in my hair first, I scrunch it all over, and then I use the sea salt spray all over and scrunch a little more.  It makes my hair very shiny and soft and it somehow manages to add texture while smoothing out my frizz!  It also seems to keep my curls more defined than they usually are on the second day.  The smell is so good and subtle.

Like I said, I've also used it on the second day on dry hair to give my hair a little more volume!  That works great, too.

I used it again today after washing my hair and I still love it!  I would definitely recommend this sea salt spray if you want to give your hair some texture and hold!

It's really cold today...in the 30s!  We will have to bundle up when we go to my improv show tonight!

Dr. Jart Giveaway Prize!

Hello!

Last week I won a giveaway that Birchbox was doing on Facebook with Dr. Jart!  I had never won a giveaway from Birchbox before last week and then I won two!!  This one and the Toni & Guy one that I wrote about here a few days ago.  

My prize came tonight!  I wasn't sure exactly what I would get and I was so surprised with how much there was!!

Love the note from Team Birchbox!  I want to work there!!  Maybe if we ever live in NYC :)

Here's everything I got:

Two masks, a Brightening Infusion one and a Pore Minimalist one. 

I've heard a lot of good things about their masks and I've seen so many people sampling them on Instagram so I'm really excited to try these!

I got a Ceremidin Starter Kit, which sounds super fun!

It has a liquid and a cream that it says to use one after the other and it's good for dry skin.  This will be perfect because the cold weather here is making my skin drier!

I also got The Original BB Cream Set!

As soon as I finish the BB cream I'm currently using (Ideal Flawless BB Cream from Avon that I love!) I will start trying all of these!

I just got another Etsy order for some holiday hair ties so I'm getting that ready to mail tomorrow!

I spent my late afternoon/evening making about six dozen mini caramel apple cupcakes!

I used a Pillsbury mix that I got at Target.  I used my mini cupcake maker so it took a while (you can make 7 at a time) but I love using that!  So fun :)  There's no way we can or should eat all of them so I'm going to take some to the front office of our apartment tomorrow!

Yu-Be Premium Gift Set!

Hello!

Last week I won an Instagram contest that Yu-Be was doing!  I love contests :)  I found out about this brand, which is a best-selling skincare company in Japan, because I got a sample of their skin cream in my September Birchbox.  I like to find the brands that I get each month on Instagram, and shortly after I started following Yu-Be, they posted about a contest!

I found out that I won about a week ago and I got my Yu-Be Premium Gift Set in the mail on Wednesday!!  

What a great prize!  I had no idea I would get so many different full-sized products, plus samples!!

I am so so excited to try everything!  It all came inside a cool drawstring backpack, too!  I've already tried the Foaming Skin Polish and it's great.  I will be posting about all of the products as I use them!

Eye Shadow Winner!

Hello!

I've just recently started seeing/hearing a lot about Milani Cosmetics.  They have really inexpensive makeup that tons of people have been posting about in places like Instagram.  I hadn't tried any of their products, but now I get to!

Alex brought in the mail and I had an envelope with a Bella Charcoal Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow inside!  I am so excited!  What a surprise :)

From September 2nd to October 1st, they're having a 30-day contest, 30 Shades in 30 Days, where you answer an easy multiple-choice hint about one of their eyeshadow shades, and they pick 300 random winners a day!

I will try it out and tell you how I like it!  I really love surprises, and winning things, so this was doubly fun :)  Thanks, Milani!
