Quick Trip to DC!

Hello!

Alex and I just got home from a fun little trip to Washington DC!  Our friend Winslow (his real name is John but we've never called him that!) was in DC from NYC for work and we got to go see him and meet his girlfriend Jillian!  They're staying in this really cool house that they got with the other people from his work through Airbnb.  It was super fancy and even had a clear floor with fish (that I thought were rats at first!) swimming underneath and a rooftop pool!

We went there straight from picking Alex up from school.  We ate some snacks at the house (have you tried candy corn M&Ms?...delish) and met a few of the other people staying there with them.  Then the four of us walked around until we found a place we wanted to eat.  The first place we thought we'd try was called the Well-Dressed Burrito, but the entrance (or not?) was in an alley and the door wouldn't open.  We eventually found what we thought was a Thai restaurant but it was actually a ramen restaurant!  Yay!  I love ramen.  I don't know if they have a website but here's an article about Oki Ramen.

 

 

It was yummy!  Jillian and I both got the Miso ramen, Alex got the pork belly rice bowl, and Winslow got the chicken rice bowl.  We had so much fun hanging out with them!!  We figured out it's probably been a year since we saw Winslow last.  We will have to visit them in NYC soon!  And maybe they will come visit us here, too :)
