Cold Brew Coffee

Hi!

Alex and I have been making our own cold brew coffee.  It's really fun and it tastes so good!  When coffee is cold brew, it means that the coffee was never heated.  Here's how we've been doing it:

1) Grind any kind of coffee beans (coarse, so you can use it in a French press).

2) Pour about 1 cup of coffee grounds into your French press.

3) Add about 3 cups of cold water to the coffee grounds.
4) Stir the water and grounds together very well.
5) Put the top of the French press on but don't plunge it.

6) Put the French press in the fridge (you can also leave it out, but we haven't tried that yet) for at least 8 hours, but you can leave it in there as long as you want really!
7) Plunge the coffee when you're ready to serve it, pour over ice, and enjoy!

We usually just add milk to ours (Alex uses regular milk and I use soy) but you could add sugar, simple syrup, flavored creamer, whatever you want!  Cold brew coffee is less acidic than coffee that is prepared regularly, and I think it has more flavor.

If you try making your own, leave a comment and tell me how you liked it!

Thanks for reading!

  1. Imagine designing a machine that does a good job juicing a cucumber and an equally good job juicing a root vegetable like ginger. Juicers have evolved over the last few years to give us very versatile satisfying machines to use.cold press juicer online in India
